Issue 116 - Sprint Lap 5
Recently, in a Master Member session, I taught the AI-powered affiliate workflow.
Three steps. Simple ones.
Research first. Recommend second. Earn third.
But here is the part that matters most, and the part almost everybody gets wrong: the order.
Most people run it backwards. They open a chat window, type "write me a promotion for X," paste what comes out, and hit send.
You can spot those promotions instantly. They sound like everyone else's. Because they are everyone else's - the machine averaged the entire internet and handed everyone the same paragraph.
Research comes first. Always.
Before you write a word of promotion, you need to know three things:
The product. What it actually does. Not what the sales page says it does - what it actually does.
The audience. What keeps them up at night. What they have already tried that failed.
The fit. Where your product genuinely solves their problem, and where it does not.
Notice that a machine cannot do this for you. AI can collect information. It cannot sit across the table from your reader. It has never bought the wrong product, wasted the money, and lived with the regret.
You have.
AI comes second.
Once you have done the research, AI becomes the best assistant you have ever had.
Feed it what you learned - the audience's real words, the product's real strengths, the honest gaps - and it will organize, outline, and draft at a speed no human can match.
That is the difference. AI amplifies good research. It cannot rescue the absence of it.
Garbage in, polished garbage out.
You come last.
Your story. Your experience. Your voice. The part where you say, "here is what happened when I tried this, and here is who I think it is wrong for."
That layer is the one nobody can copy. It is also the layer that turns a promotion into a recommendation - and recommendations are what people actually act on.
Where we are on the track:
Lap 1: What actually broke (the old affiliate model)
Lap 2: Trust = traffic
Lap 3: Meet your new search engine
Lap 5 (today): Research first, AI second, you last
Run today's lap this week: pick one product you genuinely use. Do the research - the product, the audience, the fit. Then let AI structure it. Then add the one thing only you can add.
The order is the strategy.
The next letter is the finale: one page that puts the whole engine together, start to finish.
If you try it, reply and tell me what product you picked. I read every reply.

P.S. Yesterday Master Members got session five live: The AI-Powered Affiliate Workflow, tools and all. If you were not in the room, Master Membership is here.
